Privacy Policy
Adapted for the Old School Efficiency campaign landing page · Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Old School Efficiency campaign landing page (the “Site”). During the campaign, the Site is hosted on Wix and operated by More Vibrant Communications Inc. on behalf of CLASP. After the campaign, the Site and any information collected through it will be transferred to and owned by CLASP. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
CLASP and the CLASP logo are trademarks of CLASP. All entities – including partners, governments, intergovernmental organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and private sector entities – are requested to obtain approval from CLASP before using the logo in their materials.
Email Sign-Up and Newsletter
When you sign up through the Site, we collect your email address and any name you choose to provide. We use this information to send you updates related to the Old School Efficiency campaign and the CLASP newsletter, until you ask us to stop.
To confirm your sign-up, we use a double opt-in: after you enter your email, we send a confirmation message, and you are only added to the list once you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at the address below.
During the campaign, your information is collected and held by More Vibrant Communications Inc. on CLASP’s behalf. After the campaign, your information will be transferred to CLASP, who will become responsible for it. We keep your information only for as long as needed for these purposes, and we require any service providers who handle it to protect it.
Website Analytics
The Site uses web measurement technology to improve the Site and provide a better experience for visitors. The Site is hosted on Wix and uses Wix’s built-in analytics, and may use Google Analytics, to understand in aggregate how visitors interact with the Site — including where they came from, what they did on the Site, and whether they completed any pre-determined tasks. This measurement data is used to optimize the Site and is retained only for as long as needed for proper analysis and optimization.
Google provides a browser plug-in that lets you opt out of Google Analytics measurement, which you can find at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Opting out does not affect your access to content on the Site.
CLASP is committed to expanding the global conversation on energy efficiency and upholding the principles of transparency, participation and collaboration. One of the key ways we seek to accomplish this is through the use of third-party social media websites and applications. We do not collect or request personally identifiable information through these outlets, but may occasionally come into contact with unsolicited personal information due to circumstances beyond our control. As a result, we reserve the right to moderate or remove comments that offer personally identifiable information such as address, phone number or social security number in a public manner.
Comments Sent by E-Mail
You may choose to provide us with personal information, as in an e-mail message containing your comments or questions. We use this information to improve our service to you or to respond to your request. There are times when your message is forwarded, as e-mail, to other CLASP employees or contractors, or other experts who may be better able to help you.
Security Notice
CLASP uses software programs to monitor this Site for security purposes to ensure it remains available to all users and to protect information in the system. By accessing this Site, you are expressly consenting to these monitoring activities.
Unauthorized attempts to defeat or circumvent security features, to use the system for other than intended purposes, to deny service to authorized users, to access, obtain, alter, damage, or destroy information, or otherwise to interfere with the system or its operation is prohibited. Evidence of such acts may be disclosed to law enforcement authorities and result in criminal prosecution under applicable law.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Some websites use a technology called a cookie. A cookie is a small file that a website transfers to your computer to allow it to remember specific information about your session while you are connected. There are two types of cookies used on some websites, session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies last only as long as your web browser is open; once you close your browser, the cookie disappears. Persistent cookies are stored on your computer so the website that placed them there can recognize you when you return, and remain until they expire or you delete them.
For this campaign, the Site may use cookies and similar technologies from third-party analytics and advertising partners — for example Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok — to measure the performance of the campaign and to deliver and measure campaign advertising. These partners may use a cookie or pixel to collect non-personally identifiable information about your visit. To learn more about this behavioral advertising practice, you can visit http://www.networkadvertising.org/.
You can manage or decline non-essential cookies through the Site’s cookie settings (provided through Wix) and through your browser settings, where you can also clear previously installed cookies. If you disable cookies, parts of the Site may not function properly.
